ALL THE WORK I DID IN SOUTH DAKOTA

HEY GUYS WENT BACK TO SCHOOL THIS WEEK AND FOUND ONE OF THE LAST PRINTS I DID SITTING ON MY DESKTOP.  IT’S OF THE BABA YAGA A RUSSIAN WITCH WITH WOODEN LEGS, WHO LIVES IN A HOUSE WITH CHICKEN LEGS.  SHE FLIES ALONG IN A BOWL AND CARRIES A GRINDER FOR A STAFF.  SHE HAS CURIOUS HABITS SUCH AS HANGING SKULLS WITH LITTLE LIGHTS IN THEM, OF THE PEOPLE SHE’S EATEN, AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF HER HOUSE, AND BUSTING INTO THE HOUSES OF PEOPLE WHO LIVE AT THE EDGE OF HER FORREST AND COUNTING THEIR SILVERWARE.  ENJOY

HEY DOUG SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO ACTUALLY GET THESE IMAGES ON THE SITE.  IT CRASHED WHEN I TRIED TO UPGRADE THE SITE LATE LAST YEAR AND I THOUGHT I HAD LOST EVERYTHING.  TURNS OUT THE FILES WERE HIDING IN A RANDOM DIRECTORY THE WHOLE TIME.  NOW YOU CAN START TO BUILD YOUR ONLINE PORTFOLIO.  IF YOU UPLOAD ANY MORE IMAGES JUST MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE “DOUG GALLERY” BOX UNDER CATAGORIES AT THE BOTTOM. THEN EVERYTHING WILL BE NICE AND ORGANIZED.  CLICK GALLERIES AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE THEN THERE’S A LIKE TO YOUR GALLERY.  HOPE ALL IS WELL IN NORTH DAKOTA, HEARD A RUMOR YOU WERE HEADED BACK THIS WAY.  GIVE MY REGARDS TO BUFORD.

Since i’m up i might as well make another post.

In my preperation for tattoo school i’ve been trying to get in the whole tattoo mindset by drawing the most tattoo-esque things i can.  I sat down to try and draw the most cheeze-tastic tattoo design I could muster and it turns out it was my favorite.  It’s a snake crawling out of a skull and it’s my dorky tribute to two of the highest ranking uber-dorks out there: J.K. Rowling and Mike Mignola.  Anyways, I figure it would be fun to post it as a coloring book page to see what everyone would come up with.  So if your up to the challenge color it and send me a link if you get the final project up online.

I went to Uwajimaya, this great asian grocery store if you haven’t been, the other day and found this crazy new pen set made for comic illustration in the bookstore at the back.  It’s called the deleter pen set <left> its great for tiny little illustrations.  especially that little squib down there on the right.  I also grabbed some black sumi ink and some vermilion or china red ink (my new favorite color, actually my all time favorite color i just didn’t know the right name for it) R=227 G=66 B=52 for the graphic designer out there.  But as most of you know there’s nothing more inspiring that picking up a new pen and this one definitely did it for me.  I’ve been scribbling away and decided to put some up for show.  Let me know what you think.  More to come.
